It seems I always have projects started, but rarely do I ever wrap them up! I could start a whole blog just dedicated to the crafts/projects that I have in the works. I guess it's a good sign I'll never get bored!
At least today I wasn't in it alone. My mom, great-aunt Nonie and I began to work on the next baby quilt for my neice who's still in the oven. She's due March 17 (Yep, St. Patty's) and we call her Baby Jill, since big brother is Jak. Cute, huh?
The work we did tonight was one of my favorite parts of the quilt-making process: cutting all the fabric out.
Oh, and I finally found a solution for all the ribbon I've been hoarding. Ok, not all, but most of it. What's a girl to do?
Plus, for any of you who need your "Lilah Fix" as my friend Adriene calls it, here ya go. Nothing too exciting, but I love the end of the video when you can see her little mouth doing all the work.

A little paint under my nails.
Finally had some time to get my hands dirty. I started these over the weekend and put some more layers on last night. Of course, I was inspired by something. I've been needing some art for the walls of my studio at home - so need breeds creation. This was VERY fun to do - just might find an excuse to make some more soon. I'm most excited because it appears I might actually finish a project I started!

Cheers!
A new year means trying something new, so here I am - new blog and all. I haven't exactly figured out what this will be for me yet (or what it will be for you!) So bear with me! It just seems like I've got some kind of energy bottled up that needs poured out - and I'm hoping this is the outlet.
Speaking of bottles, my little girl has started holding her own. Ok, so she's been doing it for several weeks now, but I am still having the hardest time with that milestone. She's come such a long ways from needing her mommy to nurse her every two hours! Such independence is scary for a momma, but yet I am so proud of her too. I can already see this as a theme for years of parenting to come.
So, cheers to a new year and a new blog!
